The great thing about Contiki was that you get to see everything. And make new friends. But sadly time spent in places was far too short to soak in any kind of love from a city. We visited 4 cities in Italy and the weather was insanely hot.
Tuscany of course was stop number one. Luckily everyone who was there was holding up the tower, otherwise I'm sure it would have fallen over.
Our first night stay was in Florence, which was my favourite. It was such a pretty city and the food was an absolute delight.
A long days drive the next day brought us to Rome, where the temperature was the same as being on the sun. But we went with it. Wisely soaking up the sun and swimming.
The next long drive was from Rome to Venice, which was spent mainly dehydrated, making for our self guided tour of the floating city to be only just bearable. However, there's not much a nice sunset can't fix.
I can't wait to go back and continue this Italian adventure!
